Closing Ceremony Paskong Pinoy 1

(18 January 2025, Jakarta) - The Philippine Embassy in Jakarta recently hosted the closing and thanksgiving ceremony for the Organizing Committee of Paskong Pinoy, a highly successful event held on 01 December 2024, that brought together various leaders in the Filipino community in Jakarta. The ceremony, held at the Embassy’s multi-purpose hall, celebrated the collective efforts and hard work of the committee members, sponsors, and volunteers who made the event possible.

The gathering provided an opportunity for the Organizing Committee and sponsors to engage in a brief discussion and open forum to assess the event, exchange valuable feedback, and address any concerns or suggestions from the Filipino community in Jakarta. The open forum aimed to gather insights that will help improve future events, thereby ensuring that the needs and interests of the community are better served.

The Paskong Pinoy event, which showcased Filipino customs, arts, music, and food, was a milestone in fostering camaraderie and a sense of belonging among the Filipino diaspora in Jakarta. It provided an opportunity for Filipinos to celebrate Christmas together, while also showcasing the deep cultural heritage that unites them as a people, regardless of where they are in the world.

The Embassy and the Organizing Committee expressed their gratitude to the sponsors and volunteers for their invaluable contributions, and for their commitment to ensuring the success of the event. The Philippine Embassy was represented at the event by Third Secretary and Vice Consul Glenn Joseph D. Teh and Cultural Officer Rady Dela Cruz. END
