(24-25 January 2025, Jakarta) – The Philippine Embassy in Jakarta successfully participated in the inaugural Asian Islamic Fashion and Art (AIFA) held at the Senayan Mall Park, Jakarta on 25-26 January 2025.
The KAHMI National Assembly for International Trade organized the AIFA 2025 to introduce the work of Indonesian designers to the international market. AIFA showcased Muslim fashion, modern art, and Indonesian culture, while strengthening relations with Asian countries. The event celebrated Islamic traditions, while opening up opportunities for economic collaboration and tourism to expand the market.
Chargé d’Affaires Gonaranao B. Musor visited the Philippine booth which showcased Philippine pearls, bags and accessories designed by Ms. Sittie Nadjerah Dimaporo of Nouran Pearls. He also attended the fashion show held on 25 January, showcasing designs from Muslim fashion designers. Aside from the Philippines, other countries that participated in AIFA 2025 include Malaysia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Oman, and Pakistan. (END)
