(15 May 2025, Jakarta) - Charge d’Affaires Gonaranao B. Musor delivered the opening remarks at the forum entitled, “Beyond Borders, Beyond Talent: Rethinking Regional Collaboration in a Hyperconnected World,” organized by the Philippine Business Club Indonesia (PBCI), in collaboration with Prime Talents and Makarim & Taira S.
The forum gathered speakers from human resource management firms, Peoplematter PH and Scrum HR Malaysia, as well as Jakarta-based law firm Makarim & Taira S., as they shared their insights on talent acquisition opportunities and challenges faced by business organizations operating across the ASEAN region. The forum was attended by members of the Filipino business community and other stakeholders in Indonesia.
In his opening remarks, CDA Musor highlighted the Philippine government’s commitment to ensuring that overseas Filipinos are provided with the skills and knowledge to make them more competitive in a globalized labor market as part of its mandate to promote their welfare and interest.
“We take pride in the fact that the Philippines produces, I should say, an oversupply of high-quality graduates and professionals to the point that they have become highly sought-after in many countries - nurses, doctors, other health professionals, engineers, and teachers, which is the case here in Indonesia,” CDA Musor added.
The Philippine Embassy thanked PBCI for its contribution in creating more avenues for people-to-people exchanges between the Philippines and Indonesia. END
