(25-26 April 2024, Central Java) – Ambassador Gina Jamoralin attended the Central Java Investment Business Forum (CJIBF) organized by Bank Indonesia and the Central Java Provincial Government on 25 to 26 April 2024 in Semarang, Central Java, with the theme “Enhancing Sustainable Growth through Green and Circular Economy.”
The event highlighted an investment tour and site visit at the Putri Cempo landfill area in Surakarta City, where investment opportunities concerning medical waste management was presented. The Opening Ceremony marked the 21st year of the CJIBF and the 6th year of the Gayeng UMKM (micro, small and medium enterprises) which aimed to promote investment, trade and tourism in the region through sustainable economic growth. Various MSME booths on crafts, fashion and food products which uses green production processes were exhibited and are considered to have competitive access in the export market.
Panel discussion, market sounding and business matching sessions were also carried out promoting investments on the industries of agro-tourism, hydropower, medical waste management and fisheries.
The CJIBF was led by officials from Bank Indonesia, Ministry of Cooperatives and MSMEs, Central Java Provincial Government, Indonesian House of Representatives and was also attended by the Ambassador of Cambodia, representatives of the diplomatic corps and private sectors from Belgium, Netherlands, Australia, Poland, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Japan, South Korea, Italy, United Kingdom, Germany, Denmark and Australia.
