(21 June 2024, Jakarta) – Philippine Ambassador to Indonesia, H.E. Gina Alagon Jamoralin, discussed gender mainstreaming strategies in the Philippine foreign policy with the Research Centre for Policy of the Indonesian National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) led by Prof. Ganewati Wuryandari.
Ambassador Jamoralin highlighted the Philippines’ initiatives in promoting gender equality and women empowerment in its national legal frameworks, aside from the international agreements that the country adheres to. She further highlighted how the Department of Foreign Affairs encompasses gender and development (GAD) agenda in its policies in order to achieve the Department’s vision of a resilient, responsive, and inclusive foreign service.
