(04 October 2024, Jakarta) – Ambassador Gina A. Jamoralin participated in the joint courtesy call by female foreign Heads of Mission in Jakarta on Indonesian Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi on 04 October 2024 at the Pancasila Building, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (KEMLU).
The farewell call was participated in by eleven (11) Ambassadors and Chargés d’Affaires. Accompanying Minister Retno during the meeting were KEMLU Director General of Public Diplomacy Siti Nugraha Mauludiah and Director of Diplomatic Facilities Sayu Oka Widani.
During her remarks, Ambassador Jamoralin expressed her gratitude to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for its support to the celebration of the 75th anniversary of the Philippine-Indonesia diplomatic relations, and highlighted the Philippine hosting of the International Conference on Women, Peace and Security this October 2024.
Minister Retno, as the first ever female Foreign Minister of Indonesia, also welcomed the creation of the Lady Ambassadors Group in Jakarta as it is in line with her advocacy on women issues. She is looking forward to her new role as United Nations Special Envoy on Water, after completing her tenure in the present administration. (END)
