(25 October 2024, Jakarta) – Philippine Ambassador to Indonesia Gina A. Jamoralin received a courtesy call from Aurora State College of Technology (ASCOT) on 25 October 2024 at the chancery. ASCOT travelled to Indonesia to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Institut Pertanina Bogor (IPB) University, which will allow faculty and student exchanges between the two (2) institutions.

Under the MOU, ASCOT will be a recipient of educational scholarships for its students and faculty from IPB. It also serves as an opportunity to expand and promote ASCOT’s maritime studies program, enhance its graduate programs and to exchange scientific publications and other related academic materials.

Ambassador Jamoralin encouraged the delegation to seek more partnerships with Indonesian academic institutions to expand its academic, research and cultural exchange, in which ASCOT expressed its interest in collaborating with these institutions.

The ASCOT delegation, led by College President Dr. Renato G. Reyes, was composed of Engr. Oscar C. Barawid, Jr. (Vice President for Administration, Planning and Finance), Mr. Joseph T. Gonzales (Director of International, External, and Alumni Services Office), Atty. Karl Thomas Olivar (Head, Legal Unit), Ms. Mardelyn B. Barrogo (College Librarian), Ms. Norma T. Barbasa (Director of National Service Training Program), Dr. Alma S. Bayudan (Director of Student Services & Guidance Counselor), Ms. Chrystal Faye V. Salazar (Budget Officer), Ms. Kristine F. Galam (Head of Quality Management Office) and Jawnel O. Baldonade (President of Supreme College Student Council)
