Philippine Embassy Marks 124th Philippine Independence Anniversary

(12 June 2022, Jakarta) – The Embassy of the Republic of the Philippines in Indonesia marked the 124th Anniversary of the Proclamation of Philippine Independence today with a Flag Raising Ceremony at the chancery grounds together with officials and personnel of the Philippine Mission to ASEAN and select representatives of the Filipino Community.

The National Day messages from Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana, Trade Secretary Ramon Lopez, Foreign Affairs Secretary Teodoro Locsin, Jr. and President Rodrigo R. Duterte were read by Lt. Col. Jeezer Julius Molve, Commercial Attaché Jeremiah Reyes, PHL Permanent Representative to ASEAN H.E. Noel Servigon, and PH Ambassador to Indonesia H.E. Leehiong Wee, respectively.

The program was concluded by a simple Pinoy breakfast hosted by the Embassy, following the easing of COVID-19 health regulations in Indonesia. This year’s National Day theme is “Kalayaan 2022: Pagsuong sa Hamon ng Panibagong Bukas”. (XXX)
