(24 August 2023, Jakarta) – The Philippine Embassy in Jakarta, Indonesia welcomed twenty-seven (27) students and two faculty members from De La Salle College of Saint Benilde, Manila who visited the chancery to call on Philippine Ambassador to Indonesia H.E. Gina A. Jamoralin and listen to a brief orientation as part of their learning experience on diplomacy and governance.

The students were treated to a tour of the various sections in the embassy including its attached agencies – the Philippine Trade and Investment Center, the Office of the Defense and Armed Forces Attaché, and the Office of the Police Attaché.

To provide a glimpse of what diplomats do and present diplomatic work in practice, the visiting students watched a short video clip of Ambassador Gina A. Jamoralin’s accomplishments as a career diplomat from her starting years in the Department featuring inspiring stories of her rich and wide experiences in the foreign service until the present.

As a tertiary-level educational institution that aims to prepare young people for a career in the foreign service, governance, and public administration, the College of St. Benilde encourages its students to participate in various co-curricular activities. Benilde students were in Jakarta to attend the Jakarta International Model United Nations (JMUN) on 22-29 August 2023. (END)
