(09 February 2024, Jakarta) - The Philippine Embassy in Jakarta, Indonesia conducted a Briefing on Social Security System (SSS) and Pag-IBIG Fund programs and services for the members of the Filipino Communities in Indonesia.

Ambassador Gina A. Jamoralin, in her remarks, expressed her appreciation to the resource speakers and encouraged the members of the Filipino Community in Indonesia to avail the SSS and Pag-IBIG Fund programs and services, underscoring that through these programs, the Philippine government is able to provide social security protection to Filipino workers, local or overseas, and their beneficiaries.  

Ms. Joy Ann E. Cabading, SSS Representative based in Singapore discussed, among others, the SSS coverage program, benefits and loan programs, Workers’ Investment and Savings Program (WISP) Plus and its online services. Ms. Cabading also addressed inquiries from the audience and provided onsite services.

The Pag-IBIG Fund was represented by Ms. Ana Karina Z. Ortiz, Team Leader of the Pag-IBIG Virtual Office - Asia and the Pacific, International Operations Group based in Pasay City, Philippines. Ms. Ortiz participated through a virtual platform and briefed the audience on Pag-IBIG Fund’s regular savings, MP2 savings, multi-purpose loan, housing loan and online services. The Pag-IBIG Virtual Office also provided online assistance and addressed inquiries from the onsite audience and virtual participants.

In addition to the briefing on the programs and services from these two agencies, a briefing on real estate investment opportunities was also conducted by Ms. Olive Akatsu, an SM Development Corporation (SMDC) international property specialist who partnered with the Philippine Embassy for the one-day event.

The participants benefited from the comprehensive discussion and requested for the Embassy to conduct the briefing onsite on a more regular basis. (END)
