Welcome to the Sentro Rizal in Jakarta!

By virtue of Article XII, Sec.42 of the "National Cultural Heritage Act of 2009" (Republic Act No. 10066), the legal basis for the creation of a center for "the promotion of Philippine arts, culture and language throughout the world" was established. This is the Sentro Rizal.

The various Sentro Rizal offices abroad serves as the repository, inter alia, of all materials on Philippine arts, culture and language, in various forms which include books, digital video discs, films, magazines, artworks.

The Sentro Rizal organizes cultural programs and activities for Filipinos, especially the Filipino youth abroad, to promote appreciation and understanding of the entire spectrum of Philippine culture. It acts to provide Filipinos abroad the means to connect to their roots thereby instilling a strong sense of national identity and pride for being a Filipino.

The Sentro Rizal in Jakarta, Indonesia was inaugurated on 22 Nov 2015 with the Chairman of the National Commission for Culture and the Arts Hon. Felipe M. de Leon, Jr. in attendance.

By virtue of Presidential Proclamation no. 469 signed in 2018, April of every year is declared as the Filipino Food Month or "Buwan ng Kalutong Pilipino". The national celebration of Filipino Food Month aims to appreciate, preserve, promote, and ensure the transmission of the vast Filipino culinary traditions and treasures to future generation and to support the various industries, farmers, and agri-communities. 

In celebration of the Filipino Food Month this April 2022, Sentro Rizal Jakarta in collaboration with the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) invites everyone to a live webinar that introduces Filipino food this Saturday, 23 April 2022 4:00 pm (WIB), featuring Chef Giney Villar, a renowned food historian and certified Executive Chef.
