Pursuant to the IATF-MEID Resolution No.14 dated 20 March 2020, as amended, Philippine visa issuance and visa-free privileges remain suspended. As a general rule, foreigners (non-Filipinos) cannot apply for a Philippine visa, except for those who are exempted from current entry restrictions and suspension of visa issuances pursuant to the latest resolutions of the IATF-MEID.

Foreigners who have urgent need to travel to the Philippines and want to apply for exemption from the suspension of visa issuance (i.e. Entry Exemption Document), must file their request for exemption and coordinate directly with the appropriate national government agency of the Philippines depending on the purpose of travel.

Eligible foreign workers should apply for 9(g) and 47(a)(2) Philippine visas directly with the Bureau of Immigration (BI) and the Department of Justice (DOJ), respectively.

Foreign spouse, parent or minor children of Filipino citizens may apply for a 9(a) visa with the Embassy without need for an Entry Exemption Document.

For those who are exempted from the suspension of visa issuance, you may proceed to request for an appointment with the Embassy’s consular section through this link.
