(18 February 2025, Jakarta) - Charge d’Affaires Gonaranao B. Musor received a courtesy call from the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) Undersecretary for Mindanao Affairs,  Ms. Amihilda J. Sangcopan. Undersecretary Sangcopan is representing DAR at the 2025 Asia Land Forum, which is being held in Jakarta on 17-21 February 2025.

The Undersecretary shared that she will be delivering a presentation on Women’s Land Rights in the Philippines at the said forum.  Aside from this, DAR through Undersecretary Sangcopan, is hoping to affirm the Philippine government’s commitment to advancing equitable land tenure, strengthening gender-responsive agrarian policies, and promoting inclusive rural development.

CDA Musor, meanwhile, conveyed the Embassy’s interest to work together with DAR in pursuit of PH’s economic diplomacy thrusts, particularly on exploring economic opportunities in Indonesia and supporting DAR’s initiatives on halal and Mindanao.

The Asia Land Forum 2025 is organized by the Konsorsium Pembaruan Agraria (KPA) in Indonesia, in collaboration with the International Land Coalition Asia (ILC). The forum serves as an annual platform for ILC members and partners to address a wide range of land-related issues via learning, sharing, and building synergies/collaboration towards a people-centered land governance in the region.
