(24 March 2025, Jakarta) – Charge d’Affaires Gonaranao B. Musor attended the closing ceremony of the Pre-Service Student Teacher Exchange in Southeast Asia (SEA-Teacher Project) Batch 10 hosted by Universitas Negeri Jakarta (UNJ). The ceremony marked the successful conclusion of the second batch of the 2025 International Internship Program, which took place from 03 to 24 March 2025.
Nine (9) Filipino students from West Visayas State University in Iloilo, Northwestern Visayan Colleges in Kalibo, Aklan, Xavier University-Ateneo De Cagayan, and Dr. Emilio B. Espinosa, Sr. Memorial State College of Agriculture and Technology in Masbate participated in the program.
The event was also attended by officials and faculty members of the Universitas Negeri Jakarta, led by Dr. Andy Hadiyanto, Vice Chancellor for Cooperation and Business.
In his address, CDA Musor expressed his heartfelt appreciation for the partnership between UNJ and the participating Philippine academic institutions. “I would like to express our deepest appreciation to the leadership of the UNJ for the remarkable commitment to education and regional cooperation. Your generosity in welcoming our students from the Philippines and providing them this opportunity is a shining example of the power of education for fostering mutual understanding, cultural appreciation and spirit of collaboration,” CDA Musor stated.
He further emphasized the broader importance of the SEA-Teacher Project, noting that it serves as a perfect example of how we can turn education into a bridge that connects our nations and prepares the next generation of teachers to lead with compassion, dedication, and unwavering commitment to sharing the future.
The SEA-Teacher Project is an educational exchange initiative under the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization (SEAMEO). It aims to support pre-service teachers from Southeast Asia by offering them hands-on experience in classrooms across the region, promoting cultural understanding and educational cooperation. END
