(06 May 2025, Jakarta) – The Philippine Embassy in Jakarta supported the book launching and forum for the publication, “The Paradigm of Original Encounters: An Untold Story of ASEAN,” written by Dr. Kevin Henry Villanueva, which was organized and held at the BRIN Research Center for Politics. Dr. Villanueva is an Inaugural Professorial Fellow in Ethics and International Relations at the University of the Philippines.

The event was attended by members of the diplomatic corps, Filipino community members, including Filipino staff members at the ASEAN Secretariat, as well as representatives of local NGOs and think tanks in Jakarta.

Dr. Villanueva delved into the untold narratives that shaped ASEAN from a unique intercultural perspective and provided fresh insights and appreciation of the work in ASEAN. END
