(16 May 2025, Jakarta) – Chargé d’Affaires, a.i. Gonaranao B. Musor of the Philippine Embassy in Jakarta paid a courtesy visit to The Jakarta Post’s Editor-in-Chief Taufiq Rahman at the local news daily’s headquarters in Central Jakarta. Mr. Taufiq positively noted that this is actually the first time that the Philippine Embassy has engaged with the newspaper publication.

A wide range of topics were taken up during the said meeting, including developments in the domestic politics of the Philippines and Indonesia, foreign policy outlook of both countries, soft power diplomacy, ASEAN’s take on climate change, upcoming cultural activities of the Embassy, and the shared heritage of the two nations.

The visit is part of the Embassy’s public diplomacy thrust to engage with its media stakeholders and partners, including exploring possible collaboration in areas of shared interest, in light of the year-long celebration of the 75th anniversary of Philippines-Indonesia diplomatic relations. END
