1 MARCH 2023, JAKARTA - The ocular team from the Office of the President (OP) led by Deputy Chief of Presidential Protocol Jean Alia Robles paid a courtesy call on Ambassador Gina A. Jamoralin on 31 March 2023 upon the conclusion of the ocular inspection of Labuan Bajo, Indonesia in preparation for the 42nd ASEAN Summit in May 2023. The ocular team from the OP consisted of members from the Office of Presidential Protocol, Presidential Security Group (PSG), and the Presidential Communications Office (PCO). Following the courtesy call was a meeting jointly convened by the Embassy of the Republic of the Philippines in Jakarta and the Philippine Mission to ASEAN in Jakarta with the OP ocular team, to discuss preparations for the 42nd ASEAN Summit.

The Philippine Mission to ASEAN in Jakarta was represented by Third Secretary and Administrative Officer Lia Magtibay and Protocol Officer Carlito Maranan. The meeting was held at the Multipurpose Hall of the Philippine Embassy in Jakarta prior to the OP ocular team’s flight back to Manila.
During the 5-day ocular inspection, the OP ocular team met with authorities from the local government of Labuan Bajo such as the Regional Secretary for Development Planning of Labuan Bajo, the Naval Commander, the Police Force, and the Komodo Airport Authorities. The OP ocular team was able to inspect the meeting venues, accommodation, and other facilities of the designated hotels for the 42nd ASEAN Summit.
