The Philippine Ambassador-designate to Indonesia Gina A. Jamoralin welcomed the arrival of Secretary for Foreign Affairs Enrique A. Manalo in Jakarta at the Soekarno Hatta Airport on 07 May 2023. The Secretary is on transit on his way to Labuan Bajo to attend the 42nd ASEAN Summit and related activities hosted by Indonesia from 09-11 May 2023.
During his short stay in Jakarta, Ambassador Jamoralin updated the Secretary on recent activities between Philippines and Indonesia relations. Ambassador-designate Jamoralin also flew separately to Labuan Bajo later the same day, and on May 8, was at Komodo Airport in Labuan Bajo to officially welcome the Secretary together with Philippine Permanent Representative to ASEAN Hjayceelyn M. Quintana.
The Secretary for Foreign Affairs is in Labuan Bajo as part of the official delegation of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. to attend the 42nd ASEAN meetings and to discuss matters related to Philippine foreign policy.
