Philippine experts on geopolitical and maritime security issues participate as guest speakers in the 7th Jakarta Geopolitical Forum VII/2023: “ASEAN’s Future: Addressing the Region’s Geo-Maritime Rifts” hosted by the Lembaga Ketahanan Nasional RI or The National Resilience Institute of the Republic of Indonesia (LEMHANNAS RI) on 14-15 June 2023 at Hotel Borobudur, Jakarta.

Dr. Alan Ada Lachica of the National Defense College of the Philippines; Professor Amparo Pamela Fabe of the National Police College; and Dr. Aaron Jed Rabena, of the Asia Pacific Pathways to Progress Foundation, Inc. delivered presentations sharing their knowledge and insights on issues concerning Maritime Connectivity and Regional Stability; ASEAN Maritime Security Strategic Partnership; and Southeast Asia Nuclear Free Weapon Zone (SEANWFZ).

The Jakarta Geopolitical Forum is an annual forum that aims to bring together defense officials, think tanks, and professionals from the ASEAN countries to exchange insights on the capability of ASEAN to resolve geopolitical issues and external pressure faced by ASEAN Member States.
