10 October 2023, Denpasar.  Ambassador Gina A. Jamoralin, as the Head of the Philippine delegation, delivers the Philippines’ Statement to the 5th Ministerial Meeting of the Archipelagic and Island States (AIS) Forum at the Bali Nusa Dua Convention Center, Denpasar.

Ambassador Jamoralin conveyed the Philippines’ strong advocacy for ocean science to protect the Philippines’ maritime heritage and the development of the blue economy to achieve economic growth while preserving the health of the ocean system.  

Further, Ambassador Jamoralin expressed the Philippines’ support in the AIS forum in encouraging collaboration of like-minded States in raising awareness and addressing global issues on climate change, blue economy, marine plastic debris, and good maritime governance.

Ambassador Jamoralin will represent the Philippines in the first AIS High-Level Summit which will take place on 11 October 2023 at the Bali Nusa Dua Convention Center.  The AIS Forum and related activities will be held at the Bali Nusa Dua Convention Center, Denpasar, Indonesia from 09-11 October 2023.
