(16 February 2024, Jakarta) – Philippine Ambassador to Indonesia Gina A. Jamoralin joined an investment promotions event of the Indonesian Ministry of Investment (BKPM) and discussed prospects in investment cooperation between the Philippines and Indonesia in the field of energy.
Investment Deputy Minister Nurul Ichwan presented Indonesia’s investment priorities with Investment Directory Saribua Siahaan and Indonesia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN) Chairman Yukki Nurgarawahan.
The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on Energy Cooperation between the two countries during the visit of Indonesian President Joko Widodo to the Philippines on 10-11 January 2024 is a positive development in strengthening economic cooperation in energy, minerals, and renewable resources between the two countries. The electric vehicle (EV) industry sector is also a promising sector that the Philippines and Indonesia could share cooperation.
