(Karawang, West Java) – On Saturday, 01 June 2024, Philippine Ambassador to Indonesia, H.E. Gina A. Jamoralin and selected members of the diplomatic corps participated in trip to Villaggio Outlets, Indonesia’s first authentic outlet shopping village located at Karawang Timur, West Java, Indonesia. The trip was organized by Trisakti Institute of Tourism in cooperation with Summarecon Company and Karawang Regency.  Ambassador Jamoralin was accompanied by Vice Consul Ihna Santos and their family members.

Ambassador Jamoralin in her speech during the welcome ceremony at the Villagio organized by local officials, thanked the Trisakti Institute officials led by its Rector Ms. Fetty Amaniati and Vice-Rector Agus Riyadi and officials of Karawang Regency and Summarecon for providing the opportunity to visit the newly-constructed outlet in West Java which features popular foreign brand names in consumer products. She lauded the Indonesian government for providing more shopping options for foreign tourists. Ambassador Jamoralin also mentioned that Philippines and Indonesia are celebrating 75th anniversary of Philippine-Indonesian relations this year and that Trisakti Institute of Tourism in 10 June 10, 2024 featuring Filipino Chef Datu Pendatun.

The visitors were treated to a cultural dance performance and sumptuous lunch at one of the restaurants in Villaggio. END
