(13 June 2024, Jakarta) – Philippine Ambassador to Indonesia Gina A. Jamoralin met with Admiral Samuel Paparo, Commander of the US-Indo Pacific Command, during his official visit to Jakarta on 13 June 2024.

Admiral Paparo assumed his duties as Commander of the US-Indo Pacific Command last May 2024 and is visiting Indonesia to familiarize himself with the region his command covers, and meet with stakeholders and partners.

Ambassador Jamoralin’s previous assignment as Philippine Consul General to Hawaii from 2014-2018 allowed her to forge closer relations between the Armed Forces of the Philippines and Indo Pacific Command (PACOM) based in Hawaii. For her efforts, Ambassador Jamoralin was awarded by then US PACOM Commander Admiral Harry Harris, Jr. the “Most Distinguished Public Service Medal” from the US Chairman of Joint Chiefs of Staff in 2018.
