(01 August 2024, Jakarta) – Minister and Consul General Gonaranao B. Musor of the Philippine Embassy in Jakarta met with Indonesia’s National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) to discuss possible areas of cooperation in science & technology between the Philippines and Indonesia.

BRIN was represented by Deputy Chairman for Facilitation of Research and Innovation, Prof. Dr. Eng. Agus Haryono, and Head of Bureau for Legal and Cooperation, Ms. Mila Kencana, during the meeting at BRIN’s headquarters.

As the Philippines and Indonesia will celebrate the 75th anniversary of their diplomatic relations this year, Consul General Musor expressed the hope that among the areas of mutual interest that could be strengthened is science diplomacy. Both sides also agreed to facilitate the signing of the proposed Memorandum of Understanding between the Department of Science & Technology (DOST) and BRIN on Scientific and Technological Cooperation.
