(22 August 2024, Jakarta) - The Philippine Embassy in Jakarta welcomed twelve (12) students and one (1) faculty adviser from the School of Diplomacy and Governance of De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde who participated in the Summer Program for international undergraduate students offered by the Public Administration Department of the University of Indonesia’s Faculty of Administrative Science. 

Philippine Ambassador to Indonesia H.E. Gina A. Jamoralin, together with Minister and Consul General Gonaranao B. Musor, gave a brief orientation on their experiences as career diplomats and provided a glimpse of life in the foreign service. It was also emphasized to the students the importance of having strong communication, negotiation, and analytical abilities, as well as cultural sensitivity and adaptability, in order to become effective diplomats.

The students also watched a presentation of the Embassy’s accomplishments and had the opportunity to tour the various sections of the Embassy, including its attached agencies - the Philippine Trade and Investment Center, the Office of the Police Attaché, and the Sentro Rizal. END
