(03 September 2024, Bandung) - The Philippine Embassy in Jakarta extended its congratulations to two (2) Filipino young dancers, Fatima Grace Chua and Celestine Magadia of the the Halili-Cruz School of Ballet, for winning at the 2024 Bandung International Dance Competition in Bandung, Indonesia held on 23 - 25 August 2024. 

Fatima Grace Chua won 1st place in Ballet Solo and 2nd place in Repertoire categories, while Celestine Magadia won 2nd place in Ballet Solo, 2nd place in Repertoire and 3rd place in Jazz Solo categories. Both were recognized as the Junior Division’s Duo Grand Champions after winning 1st place in Ballet, Jazz and Contemporary duo performance categories.

Moreover, Fatima Grace Chua has been awarded a scholarship to participate in the World Ballet Trial to be held in Bali, Indonesia on 02 - 03 November 2024. END
