(18 March 2025, Jakarta) - Charge d’Affaires Gonaranao B. Musor received at the Chancery on 18 March 2025 the President of the Indonesia Fashion Week (IFW), Ms. Poppy Dharsono.

CDA Musor met with Ms. Poppy to discuss the IFW’s invitation for the Philippines to participate once again in the upcoming Indonesia Fashion Week to be held in Jakarta on 28 May - 01 June 2025.

During the meeting, Ms. Poppy looked forward to including Filipino designers among its lineup for IFW 2025. Ms. Poppy affirmed, based on the Philippines’ past participation at IFW, the strong potential of Filipino designers to emerge as a strong player in the international fashion industry.

CDA Musor welcomed IFW’s proposal and expressed his appreciation for opening more avenues to showcase world-class Filipino creative talent and high quality Philippine indigenous fabrics. 

Third Secretary and Vice Consul Maricar S. Yambao, Philippine Business Club Indonesia (PBCI) Chairman, Mr. Antonio Capati, Commercial Counsellor Jollan Margaret Llaneza of the Philippine Trade and Investment Center- Jakarta, and Cultural Officer and Attaché Rady Dela Cruz joined the meeting and will work together to finalize details of the Philippines’ return to IFW.

IFW is known to be the biggest fashion event in Indonesia that offers a platform for the promotion of creative talent and collaboration among renowned and emerging designers, artists, and cultural representatives within and outside Indonesia. END
