(20 Oct 2022) -- The Philippine Embassy in Jakarta joined twenty-seven other diplomatic missions participating in the 53rd Charity Bazaar organized by the Women’s International Club (WIC) Jakarta at the Grand Sahid Jaya Hotel today.

Bazaar patrons were treated to a myriad display of Filipiniana items, accessories, clothes, jewellery, trinkets, and native delicacies like turon, puto, and biko. Philippine food products and snacks from Oishi were among the visitors’ favourites, and together with Philippine dried mangoes from Luzon and Cebu, were among the first items to sell out at the Philippine booth.

The Philippine Embassy participates in the WIC bazaar in line with its cultural diplomacy thrusts and also to support charitable institutions in these fund-raising events which aim to support social welfare programs that benefit orphanages, homes for the elderly, schools for children with special needs, and other vulnerable sectors of society.
