(17-18 November 2023, Yogyakarta) – Philippine Ambassador to Indonesia H.E. Gina Jamoralin attended the Global Forum for Climate Movement: Promoting Green Culture, Innovation and Cooperation in the Special Region of Yogyakarta, Indonesia.
The event was organized by the Central Board of Muhammadiyah, in cooperation with the Directorate General of American and European Affairs of the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (KEMLU), Indonesian Foundation for Zero Net Emission (ViriyaENB), and Ahmad Dahlan University. Representatives from the diplomatic corps, academe, think tanks, government and non-governmental organizations were present during the event.

Muhammadiyah, a prominent Islamic organization in Indonesia, initiated the forum which aims to promote and strengthen the adoption of sustainable practices, green culture, innovation, and cooperation within the context of climate action.
The two-day forum highlighted the global call for action in combatting climate crisis through faith-based collaboration within public and private stakeholders. Prominent speakers from the diplomatic corps, international organizations, private sector and Indonesian government agencies shared their views and best practices, discussing innovative solutions and collective efforts in addressing climate change.
The launching of the Muhammadiyah Climate Center, in time for the 111th Milad Celebration of Muhammadiyah University, were also one of the highlights of the event.
