H.E. Amb. Gina A. Jamoralin welcomes guests at the “Patikim sa Pasko” Culinary Event
(06 December 2023, Jakarta) --- Philippine Ambassador to the Republic of Indonesia H.E. Gina A. Jamoralin hosted a special culinary event today to advance Philippine cultural diplomacy and promote Filipino cuisine in Indonesia while heralding the Christmas holidays this December.
Dubbed “Patikim sa Pasko,” the event was held at the Balay Filipino, the Official Residence of the Philippine Ambassador to Indonesia and featured Manila-based Filipino celebrity chef Ms. Alyana Asistio delighting guests with her culinary talent in preparing popular Philippine dishes such as laing, kare-kare (presented through a live cooking demonstration), and coconut chicken adobo. Pinoy dessert favorite halo-halo rounded out the specially curated menu designed to excite guests and foodies’ taste buds.
The two-part activity was jump-started by a luncheon for Indonesian content creators, select food and lifestyle influencers, hoteliers, travel and tourism stakeholders, and media representatives. It was followed by a special dinner hosted by Amb. Jamoralin for officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, together with a select group of diplomats and friends of the Philippines.
“Patikim sa Pasko” is an introductory activity to usher the milestone year of 2024 when the Republic of the Philippines and the Republic of Indonesia will celebrate seventy-five years of diplomatic ties. (END)
