 (21 February 2024, Jakarta) – The Philippine Embassy in Jakarta, Indonesia conducted a Briefing on Contingency Planning, Emergency Preparedness and Security Seminar in collaboration with the Office of the Police Attaché (OPA) and the Foreign Liaison Office (FLO) in Indonesia, providing a comprehensive understanding and knowledge on how to prepare and what to do in the event of a crisis emanating from either natural disaster (volcanic eruption, earthquake, tsunami and extreme flooding) or man-made emergency (civil unrest, armed conflict, chemical/nuclear accident, epidemic, pandemic, etc). Basic information on safety and security and emergency preparedness were also highlighted during the briefing.

The seminar aimed at appraising and updating Embassy personnel of the Contingency Plan prepared by the Embassy in case of major disasters.

Emergency go-bags were distributed to all Embassy personnel and attached agencies during the briefing.
