Embassy Official Leads PHL Delegation to IOC-WESTPAC-XIV

The 14th conference of the Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission's Sub-Commission for the Western Pacific (IOC-WESTPAC-XIV) was hosted by the Republic of Indonesia at the headquarters of the Badan Riset dan Inovasi (BRIN) in Jakarta from 04-07 April 2023. A four-man delegation of scientists and marine science experts from Manila represented the Philippines in the discussions focusing on ocean science and sustainable development. Minister and Consul General Bryan B. Lao of the Philippine Embassy in Jakarta sat at the first Senior Government Officials' Roundtable plenary representing the Philippines. PHL Ambassador-designate calls on IDN Director for Southeast Asian Affairs

(05 Apr 2023, Jakarta) -- Ambassador-designate of the Republic of the Philippines to the Republic of Indonesia H.E. Gina A. Jamoralin paid a courtesy call on Mr. Mirza Nurhidayat, Director for Southeast Asia of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on 05 April 2023 to discuss matters concerning PHL-IDN bilateral relations.

e-Vehicle Group Calls on New Philippine Ambassador, Agreement Signed with PERIKLINDO

Officers of the E-Vehicle Association of the Philippines and the Asian Federation of E-Vehicle Association, Inc. signed an agreement with Gen. (Ret.) Dr. (H.C) Moeldoko, Chief of Staff of the Indonesian Presidency and Chairman of the Indonesian E-Vehicle Association (PERIKLINDO), making Indonesia a member of AFEVA. The newly-sealed partnership will enable closer collaboration with the Philippines and Indonesia and other groups in Asia in the area of electric vehicle (EV) eco-system development.

 

This latest development is the result of the partnership between the Philippine Embassy and the Philippine Trade and Investment Center (PTIC) Jakarta of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), both of which worked together with EVAP and AVEFA in pursuing the joining of Indonesia to the federation and expand the respective countries’ EV prospects.
