(05 Oct 2022, Jakarta) -- The Board of Foreign Service Examinations (BFSE) of the Department of Foreign Affairs announces the conduct of the 2023 Foreign Service Officer (FSO) Examinations. Interested applicants may submit their applications to the Philippine Embassy located in Jalan Imam Bonjol No.8, Menteng, Jakarta Pusat 10310 from 13 Oct 2022 until 1700H of 18 Nov 2022.
The Qualifying Test will be held on 05 Feb 2023 at a venue to be announced later through the DFA-BFSE website and social media platforms of the Department of Foreign Affairs.

Philippines Featured at University of Indonesia International Cultural Festival 2022

(24 September 2022) - The Embassy of the Republic of the Philippines, Jakarta, Indonesia, through Sentro Rizal Jakarta, participated in the 2022 International Cultural Festival of the University of Indonesia (UI) held at Makara Art Center, Depok.
The event was organized by the UI Student Dormitory and in collaboration with its Makara Art Center. Featured guests included the Embassies of the Philippines and Russia in Jakarta. During the event, the Philippine’s showcased videos of the Tinikling dance performed by the Leyte Dance Theater, and Ginataang Langka cuisine.
In his remarks during the event, Third Secretary and Vice Consul Glenn Joseph D. Teh likened the Tinikling to the Indonesian Tari Gaba Gaba, as both dances make use of bamboo poles. Mr. Teh additionally emphasized the Philippines’ Ginataang Langka and its similarity with Yogjakarta’s Gudeg, which is an Indonesian dish similarly using jackfruit in coconut milk.
The Embassy and UI expressed mutual willingness to explore further collaborations in the future in the field of culture, and to other possible areas of partnership.
