Embassy, PTIC, Conduct Hybrid Seminar on Social Entrepreneurship

(17 March 2023) – The Philippine Embassy in Jakarta, in collaboration with the Philippine Trade and Investment Center in Jakarta, conducted a hybrid seminar entitled “Sociopreneurship: Promoting Social Inclusivity through Purposeful Business Ventures” on 17 March 2023. This event was spearheaded by the Embassy’s Gender and Development (GAD) Unit in celebration of the National Women’s Month.
The Embassy invited Ms. Anna Melissa Nava, CEO and Co-Founder of 1Export, a tech-enabled exporting start-up that aims to innovate the exporting process from the Philippines to across the world. Established in 2016, 1Export works with distributors, retailers, and resellers through documentation, labeling and business matching.

(21 February 2023) - The Philippine Embassy in Jakarta will conduct a Consular Services Outreach Activity, including overseas voter registration for the 2025 Philippine mid-term elections, on 25 March 2023 (Saturday) in Batam, Riau Islands.
The following services will be available during the outreach:
- Overseas Voter Registration (https://jakartape.dfa.gov.ph/overseas-voting/476-pagpapasa-ng-aplikasyon-upang-marehistrong-overseas-voter-bukas-nang-muli)
- Passport Applications
- Civil Registration (Report of birth, marriage and death)
- NBI Form No. 5 Fingerprinting (NBI clearance application form)
- Notarials (Acknowledgment and Jurat)

WHWise PHL Universities Visit the Chancery

(10 Feb 2023) -- Philippine university representatives visited the Philippine Embassy in Jakarta for a courtesy call on 10 February 2023 to share their recent experience in Indonesia related to empowering women-led social enterprises, in partnership with the Universitas Katolik Indonesia Atma Jaya. The Women Helping Women Innovating Social Enterprises (WHWise) is a program of the Philippine Council for Industry, Energy and Emerging Technology Research and Development under the Department of Science and Technology focusing on supporting women entrepreneurs access technology solutions for their business. Three Philippine universities implement this program thru the iBLENDnICE 4WomEn program: Mindanao State University-Iligan Institute of Technology (project lead), Miriam College (co-implementer), and UP Mindanao (co-implementer).
The iBLENDnICE 4WomEn provides an incubation program tuned with gender and social enterprise lenses to enable an ecosystem of support for women entrepreneurs. The program includes learning labs and dedicated mentoring from the program's intensive network of partners, with complementary funding provided by DOST-PCIEERD to the social enterprises.
