Philippine Food and Cultural Items Showcased at 54th WIC International Charity Bazaar

(10 Nov 2023, Jakarta) – Philippine goods and food items were again among the most popular products at the 54^th Women’s International Club (WIC) Annual International Charity Bazaar held on 08-09 November 2023 at the Jakarta Convention Center.

The Philippine booth showcased a variety of native products such as Philippine fabrics, select handicrafts, barong Tagalog, fashion accessories, and souvenir items. The cultural spread was complemented by a sampling of ready-to-eat Filipino staples such as kaldereta, puto, biko, turon, leche flan, tapsilog, and buko pandan. Additional items were on display such as Philippine dried mangoes, food recipe mixes, cookies, and other food products brought in by Philippine trading company 1Export. Philippine snacks such as Oishi and Jack n’ Jill, courtesy of PT Liwayway Indonesia and PT URC were also among the first to sell out during the two-day event.
