The 14th conference of the Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission's Sub-Commission for the Western Pacific (IOC-WESTPAC-XIV) was hosted by the Republic of Indonesia at the headquarters of the Badan Riset dan Inovasi (BRIN) in Jakarta from 04-07 April 2023. A four-man delegation of scientists and marine science experts from Manila represented the Philippines in the discussions focusing on ocean science and sustainable development. Minister and Consul General Bryan B. Lao of the Philippine Embassy in Jakarta sat at the first Senior Government Officials' Roundtable plenary representing the Philippines. (05 Apr 2023, Jakarta) -- Ambassador-designate of the Republic of the Philippines to the Republic of Indonesia H.E. Gina A. Jamoralin paid a courtesy call on Mr. Mirza Nurhidayat, Director for Southeast Asia of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on 05 April 2023 to discuss matters concerning PHL-IDN bilateral relations.

(Above) President of the E-Vehicle Association of the Philippines (EVAP) and Asian Federation of E-Vehicle Association, Inc. (AFEVA) Mr. Edmund A. Araga, and AFEVA Treasurer Mr. Dennis Chuah, pay a Courtesy Call on the Ambassador-designate of the Republic of the Philippines to Indonesia H.E. Gina A. Jamoralin.
 
Officers of the E-Vehicle Association of the Philippines and the Asian Federation of E-Vehicle Association, Inc. signed an agreement with Gen. (Ret.) Dr. (H.C) Moeldoko, Chief of Staff of the Indonesian Presidency and Chairman of the Indonesian E-Vehicle Association (PERIKLINDO), making Indonesia a member of AFEVA. The newly-sealed partnership will enable closer collaboration with the Philippines and Indonesia and other groups in Asia in the area of electric vehicle (EV) eco-system development.
 
This latest development is the result of the partnership between the Philippine Embassy and the Philippine Trade and Investment Center (PTIC) Jakarta of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), both of which worked together with EVAP and AVEFA in pursuing the joining of Indonesia to the federation and expand the respective countries’ EV prospects.

Philippine Ambassador-designate to Indonesia H.E. Gina A. Jamoralin called on the Director General for Protocol and Consular Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia H.E. Andy Rachmianto to present the open copy of her Letters of Credence and Letter of Recall of her predecessor today, 03 April 2023 at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
 
(Above) Ambassador-designate Jamoralin conveys her appreciation to Director General Rachmianto for facilitating the request of the Philippines to grant her agrément as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Indonesia and for the warm hospitality accorded to her upon her arrival.
The Philippine Ambassador-designate awaits a suitable schedule to present her credentials to the President of the Republic of Indonesia.
